Although by some reports the Puget Sound is cleaner and livelier than it was 30 years ago, more can be done, mainly by keeping cars off the road.
Starting June 6, 2008, World Wide Gourmet Foods shipping department will not be sending out packages on Fridays, workers will shorten their work week to four, ten hour days, and even the newest product packaging will be printed on recycled paper.
What this means for you as our valued customer:
Any online or phone orders placed on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday will ship the next business day on Monday (with holidays being exempt). Your order will then be processed on the day the plant reopens, and the first day of shipping will begin the following day, based on UPS standards:

Timing your shipment: Your shipping time will begin the day after processing the order, as UPS does not count the first day as a shipping day. **Please make note of this when planning for any gift arrivals or special occasions that require time sensitive delivery**. UPS delivers packages Monday through Friday, with holidays and weekends being exempt. From November through January, an additional two days shipping time is added to each package by UPS, due to the high volume of shipments.
Upgraded/Expedited Shipping: Any upgraded orders (Next Day Air, 3 Day, 2 Day Air) will also follow this new schedule above.
PO Box/APO/FPO addresses: UPS does not offer delivery service to PO Box, APO or FPO addresses. If using a PO Box, APO or FPO address, your order will be sent via standard US Mail service. Please plan on 14-21 business days for arrival to your destination.
Shipping Destinations: We ship orders within the 50 United States.
Gift Messages: Any gift notes that you have included with your order are printed by our system onto the UPS sticker and placed on the box for the recipient to see. Character limit, including spaces and punctuation is 150.
