All of our smoked salmon has a guaranteed shelf-life of 5 years from the original pack date, as long as the salmon's packaging has not been ruptured. On the gold foil pouch surrounding the salmon fillet inside the box, you will find a manufacturers code that looks something like this: 589A105PS
This is how to decipher the code:
589A105PS - the 9 is the year the product was packaged, 2009.
589A105PS - the 105 is the day that the product was packaged, April 15th.
This smoked salmon was packaged on April 15th, 2009 and is guaranteed fresh until April 15th, 2014.
